The grapes from our favourably situated vineyards are carefully selected to make Montiverdi Riserva Chianti Classico, after the obligatory three years' ageing required by Chianti Classico production regulations. Selection of the grapes destined for this wine only takes place in vintage years judged to be the best by the winery 's experts, i.e. only those which guarantee perfect fruit for a wine to be kept for a period of ten years or even more. Under these conditions the wine is made, using the winery 's excellent equipment, and then aged in wooden barrels of various sizes depending on the features of the individual wine and the year. Lastly, the wine undergoes bottle ageing for a minimum of one year in ideal environmental conditions, to obtain the best possible quality for the demanding palates of increasingly discerning consumers.
