The fertile Alberese land (which takes its name from the whitish stone typical of the most inaccessible areas of the Chianti Classico zone), south-east aspect and constant, careful tending of the vineyards produce grapes of the excellent quality required to make Montiverdi's fine Chianti Classico. This prestigious fruit is treated with the greatest respect for its natural characteristics by the winery's skilled and experienced experts. The various stages of vinification are alternated with rest periods and only the best equipment and the finest Slavonian oak barrels are used to process and age the wine. Bottle ageing is the last, but by no means least important, phase of the wine's preparation for sale, enhancing along with all the other factors the special qualities of the Montiverdi Chianti Classico with its centuries-old heritage.
