Sangiovese, Canaiolo Nero.
Two years, at least 18 months of which in barrels.
Intense ruby red with orangey tones acquired after ageing.
Dry and full-bodied, slightly acidic finish with a hint of tannin.
Light and harmonious with natural aromas of Parma violets and distinct finesse. Serve at 18°C and uncork at least three hours before drinking. This wine is an excellent accompaniment for roast meats, game and full-flavoured cheeses.
The grapes from our favourably situated vineyards are carefully selected to make Atila Riserva Chianti Classico, after the obligatory three years' ageing required by Chianti Classico production regulations. Selection of the grapes destined for this wine only takes place in vintage years judged to be the best by the winery 's experts, i.e. only those which guarantee perfect fruit for a wine to be kept for a period of ten years or even more. Under these conditions the wine is made, using the winery 's excellent equipment, and then aged in wooden barrels of various sizes depending on the features of the individual wine and the year. Lastly, the wine undergoes bottle ageing for a minimum of one year in ideal environmental conditions, to obtain the best possible quality for the demanding palates of increasingly discerning consumers.
